Pro-Life Walkathon: Just a reminder that registration for the walkathon will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 19 at the Lacombe Christian School (5737 53rd Ave) parking lot.

Help us raise awareness and money for this important work! Please register online at reddeerprolife.com so you can get signed up and receive a T-shirt. Print off a pledge form to raise money and win prizes! After the walk, there will be a BBQ hotdog lunch.

The Calvinist Cadet Corps is a Christ-centred program for boys in Grades 4–8. Guided by Christian counsellors, cadets grow in their knowledge of God’s Word while developing character, leadership, practical skills, and lasting friendships.

Meetings include Bible lessons, badge work, games, woodworking, outdoor activities, and service projects. Special events may include camping, ice fishing, the Snow Derby, and Cub Car races.

Cadets meet on alternating Thursdays from 7:00–8:30 p.m.

Set Free for Freedom! Parkland Reformed Church of Ponoka invites and encourages you to join us as we gather together for the

Fall 2026 Ponoka URC Addictions Conference from October 2 – 3. Scripture labels it ‘house of bondage,’ we call it ‘addiction,’ Bondage. Addiction. Slavery. You may well be celebrating freedom (again!) or deeply yearning for freedom from the grip of alcohol, drugs, work, perfectionism, people-pleasing, digital distraction, family dysfunction, sex from hell
(pornography) or wounds you've spent a lifetime avoiding.

In any case, this conference offers compassionate encouragement to join in the conversation about living life in complete freedom in Christ in this age of addiction. Be encouraged to attend to share your insights, wisdom and experiences as we journey together on the way to Him who offers Truth and Life.

Speaker: Heres Snijder joins us from Anchor Counselling (www.anchorcounsellor.ca). Here's has a background in education and counselling services where he can apply the Grace of Christ to all aspects of his encounters.

Men's Bible Study: We study topics related to our families, church matters, and encourage each other in love through Jesus Christ. 

We meet every second Saturday starting in late September to early October and finish usually in April or May depending on the material we want to finish.

We start at 7:15 a.m. with breakfast (provided) and typically out the door by 8:30-9:00 depending on the enthusiasm of the discussion.

Ladies Bible Study meets on Tuesday mornings at our church from 9:30-11:00 twice a month throughout the school year. Nursery is provided for our little ones and kids aged 3-6 meet together for Story Hour where they learn Bible stories, sing, do crafts and play.

Our desire is for ladies to grow in the knowledge and love of the Lord together and to encourage one another and build each other up. We pray, sing and study scripture, fellowship over coffee and snacks and do service projects together. All ladies are welcome to join.

Word & Deed Dinner – New Speaker: We would love to have you join us on Thursday, October22 at Parkland Immanuel Christian School for an informative evening while enjoying a delicious
meal and good fellowship! Unfortunately, our original speaker from South Sudan will be unable to travel to Canada for our speaker evening. Instead, we will be joined by Word & Deed’s partner,
Carlos Coffin, who is the director of Palabra Y Hecho in Nicaragua.

He will be speaking about how the Lord is blessing the work of farmers and community members who are seeking to use the resources that the Lord has given them to increase their agricultural output, develop better business practices, and craft a Christian worldview. Theme: GOD: The Ultimate Engineer Featuring: Dr. Mark Horstemeyer, distinguished professor of engineering at Liberty University, Atlanta, Georgia, who will introduce us to some fascinating cases of design in the creation. Dr. H. used his expertise in engineering in the commercial, academic and practical worlds to shed light on appreciation of God’s wonderful creation.

He has worked on design improvements from football helmets to vehicle suspensions with the big three American automakers and Nissan. He was even an external analyst for Columbia Space Shuttle Accident Investigation Board.

Let’s learn to see God’s perfect creation from yet another angle!
